We’ve been back to Gico for the second time, and every dish have been great thus far. The Lobster tail Linguini stood out. Coffees were great and so were the sweets, such as the pandan waffle. Looking forward coming back and working through the menu.
The pasta and bubble tea are soooo tasty but the only confusing part is we got two pieces sourdough bread and they were served cold. I wanted to ask the staff to warm up for me so i can enjoy it with the pasta sauce. but i only got the response " No we don't warm up bread" ??? it was cold and chewy and confusing. I can’t even spread the butter as it is cold as well.
Service was good, plenty of parking, great spot. Atmosphere considered above average but don't really on par with the price on menu. Price is towards the higher side.
Ordered 2 foods, spaghetti was good but risotto is a disappointment. Friends taken few months ago was looking great but what I get is not even on average standard. Using medium grain not an issue, but the dish is watery and don't have any taste of cream or cheese. It must be change of chef or quality dropped. Owner please look into this.
When set food price high, expectations will be higher.
The pasta and risotto were very nice. And the prawns are large and fresh. The omelette is spicy flavor, taste very yummy.
My friend and I had a brunch here last weekend. When we arrived at the booked time (10:30am), the staff gave us both breakfast and lunch/dinner menu.
There were lots of food to choose from on the menu. They have a nice drinks menu as well. Including coffee, tea, smoothies and alcoholic drinks. Some of them are Asian infused drinks like taro latte, pandan bubble coffee. I had a Japanese black sesame latte which was very nice.
I had a Japanese omelette on the breakfast menu, and my friend had a burger on the lunch menu. The food was very nice.
The service was fast and friendly. The staff were attentive and helpful. I like how they put a piece of lemon in our glass before we arrived, very thoughtful. The atmosphere is great. Will be back to try more food in the future.
There are some parking in front of the restaurant, but you can park on the side street nearby as well.
I was sad when we came in at 2pm and the brunch service has ended, instead we are given a Lunch & Dinner menu to order from. Nonetheless, their dishes did not disappoint. My prawn & scallop pasta is to die for, the seafood portion is really generous and fresh. The Tuscan sandwich has fresh meats but quite hard to eat. The drinks are creative and yummy - we ordered Pandan bubble coffee, sesame latte, & matcha latte. Can't wait to come back for brunch!
We ordered the soft shell crab and fried chicken burger which is pretty good and the sweet potato fries is prefect, the sauce is good too. However, I would say we got no choice to get these two because most of the dishes is over $30 something so that’s why we choose burger. The latte and mocha is great.
